About Auto Dealer ConsultantsAuto Dealer Consultants began in 2007 in response to several local car dealers needing help. There are a handful of providers that offer the same services we do, however dealers as a whole have been unhappy with the service provided by these other companies. Whether they use one of the larger national companies or one of the smaller local companies, the consensus has been that nobody has provided the level of service they deserve. While most of these companies seem to think their growth is a direct result of sales abilities, we say sales can only take them so far. Our philosophy is that our company should be focused more on the long-term, and the way we choose to do that is by offering the best service. Sure, anybody can sell a product to their customers, but we believe that keeping our customers through better service is more important for all parties involved. President and Founder, Robert "Jake" JacobsonBackground: As founder of Auto Dealer Consultants, LLC, Jake has several years experience in the automotive and Internet marketing industries. He worked for several years at TraderOnline.com (Dominion Enterprises, formerly Trader Publishing) as an internet sales rep and sales manager, and has owned multiple small businesses in Hampton Roads. He also worked in the past for Autotrader.com for over 2 years. Cars are his life - he has over 15 years of buying, marketing, and selling used cars as a hobby. Jake possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology/Sociology and has a solid understanding of consumer buying behaviors, especially with major purchases such as a vehicle. Jake is currently President and Co-Founder of Higher Turnover, LLC, a website development company serving auto dealers across the nation. Jake has worked with dealers of all sizes, some with 10 cars and others with 1000 on the lot. Why Auto Dealer Consultants Was Formed:By working with car dealers nationwide we have gained a lot of insight into what the typical problems are in terms of online marketing. Our patience and ability to translate technical concepts into real-world practice for even the most non-technical person has already proven extremely valuable to dealers in the auto industry. Education is a powerful tool, and it's never too late for someone to learn new ways of doing things - even if that someone is a car dealer who doubts their own abilities. To us, there is no greater satisfaction than seeing a small independent car dealer go from saying "I don't know what to do" all the way to "This is easy, and it works unbelievably well".
